Website, Myspace, Impeachment News for 6/28/08

Hello all!! We have lots of news! We are launching our new website for our area today. The address for the site is http://www.hrcodepink.org. Check it out and see what we are up to. You can also view our blog there on the homepage. If the site is not up when you go there please check back in a few hours. It should be live any time now.

We have scheduled our first organizational meeting! Please join us at the new library in East Ocean View in Norfolk on July 25th at 7 PM. We will be meeting to share ideas with others on what we are doing and come up with new ideas for things that can be done in this area and things that we can do to help the girls in DC who are on the hill daily working for peace and justice all over the world.

Yesterday we built our myspace page for HR CODEPINK. Check it our and add us to your friends list!! We will be putting up a Facebook as soon as we learn how to use it to our maximum ability. If there is anyone out there who would like to volunteer to maintain the Facebook, please email us and let us know!

As of today, 4113 member of the American military have died in Bush's illegal war. Please show your support for our troops by demanding that they be brought home now and end this violence that is getting us nowhere fast.

And last, but not least, good news from the House!! Rep. Sam Farr from California signed on to Dennis Kuchinich's impeachment bill on 6/24/08. Make sure to write or call Rep. Farr and thank him for his courage and for recognizing his oath to support and defend the Constitution. That makes 6 co-sponsors on the bill! Keep pressuring your local representatives to sign on to the bill! Click here for a list of things you can do to help the impeachment, including contacting Rep. Conyers, Chair of the Judiciary Committee and ask that they move for hearings. All contact info can be reached from that page.

Keep working for peace everyone and keep us posted on what you are doing! We'd love to get some pictures up on the web of our activities as soon as possible!
